Registration to First Grade |
Children that were born between 1/1/2015 (10 Tevet 5775) and 31/12/2015 (19 Tevet 5776) are required to register for First Grade in a public school, a religious public school, or an approved school that is in accordance with the law of mandatory education Registration Dates: From Thursday 14/1/2021 (1 Shvat 5781) Until Wednesday 3/2/2021 (21 Shvat 5781) You are requested to register during this time period Registration Process: School Registration will take place online only. In May 2021, the notification of school placement will be published on the Education Portal: www.ramat-gan.info And will be sent via mail to the student’s home address. Education Choice Options: Below is a list of each of the choices: First Option: Public School - You should rank each school in your region (Eshkol) in order of preference. Please note! You must rank all the schools in your region. Second Option: Public Religious School – you must choose from one of the following schools
Third Option: Non-Regional - as detailed below:
Registration to non-Regional schools: When choosing a non-region based school, parents still must register to a public school/religious public school and rank their preference for the schools in their region (Eshkol) Only after this has completed can a request be submitted online to move to a non-regional school. For the non-regional schools where enrollment demand is higher than the spaces available, a raffle will be held to fill the spaces. Requests for moving Regions (Eshkol) After completing registration, you can submit a transfer request online. The transfer requests will only be examined after completing registration for the region you are currently based in. Transfer requests submitted after the dates listed above will not be accepted. Placement notice for students who submit transfer requests will be published throughout June 2021 on the education portal: www.ramat-gan.info and will be sent via mail to the student’s home address Please note! We cannot guarantee that your child will be placed at your first preference. Those that register after the dates listed above, assignment will be based on available space at the schools you have selected and the discretion of the municipality.
