After School Activities

The department operates various after school activities and groups for children, every school year. The groups are partly subsidized for residents of Ramat Gan by the municipality and by the Ministry of Absorption.

Hebrew and Art

"Hebrew and Arts" course for immigrant children between the ages of 4 and 6 years old.  

This course is comprised of two parts: a 45-minute class of Hebrew studies and a 45-minute class engaging in studies of various arts. The classes will be held at the "Russian Museum of Arts" (located on Hibat Tzion 18). 

The course has two groups –Tuesdays from 16:30-18:00 or Thursdays 16:30-18:00.

Dancing classes

Children in the ages 4 -6 years old - classes are held twice a week between 16:30 to 17:30

Children in the ages 7 -12 years old - classes are held twice a week between 16:30 to 17:30. 

Adults 18+ - classes are held twice a week from 19:30-20:30. 

These classes are made possible due to a collaboration between Studio 13, the Ministry of Absorption, and the Ramat Gan Municipality.

Animation

An after-school animation course is available for children ages 7 and up. This course meets once a week from 17:00-18:30.

Choir

Children ages 4-16 are welcome to participate in the choir “HaKeshet HaMizameret.” The choir meets twice a week on Tuesdays 16:30-19:00 (each age group only meeting for 45 minutes) and Saturdays from 14:00-15:00. Rehearsal takes place at Usha school, 9 HaMa’apil Street.

The choir performs songs in Hebrew, Russian, and Yiddish.

Theater

This after-school activity meets once a week on Wednesdays from 18:00-20:00. It is for children in grades 7 and 8.

Currently only available in Russian.
